HILARIOUS!

Hello, it's been a while. Lately i've been busy and time has flown. Were rolling into the Christmas season already. We had an awesome Thanksgiving at our house and we ate tons of turkey and stuffing and pie! So I just came across a hilarious blog/website of cake disasters and let me tell you I was laughing so hard my stomach started hurting. This lady also has a book and it has cake disasters all throughout the book. Her commentary is the icing on the cake  the best, check it out, I promise you won't be dissapointed!

Prayer.

Hi everybody, a couple of days ago I heard of a lady from our home school coop had cancer. Her daughter gave me a list of prayer requests and details. The family is the Mills family and they would love your support and prayer.
Mrs. Mills has non-hodgkin Lymphoma, it's slow-growing and is in stage 2
The cancer is located in the lymph nodes and it's not curable but very treatable.
in a week or so most likely getting treated with radiation at Methodist Hospital.
Here are prayer requests:
-that she feels good
-that radiation treatment in abdomen/groin area works
-that she goes into "remission" for a long time
-and recover from surgery in general.

Micheal W Smith Concert!!

Hey guys, on the third I went to the MWS concert and it was sooooooooooooooo much fun!!!! My mom sang in the thousand voice choir and they were great. You can hear two songs they sang here. Phil Stacey and Matthew West were in my opinion the best part. They sang all of my favorite songs that they sing. I went with my dad and he also had a great time. We ate popcorn and he had nachos. Here are some good pictures that my mom took. I will never forget this night. I was so fun!

Gone in a flash...

Wow summer FLEW by! It's really cold out right now and I'm wearing pants long sleeves, sweatshirt, sock AND slippers!!!! I wish summer lasted all year. School has been under way for a few weeks now and if you didn't know I'm being home schooled. Summer was gone in a flash. Have you ever noticed that when you get older things go by quicker? When I was younger i thought summer lasted forever..now, not so much. I need to continue on with my homework for the day so I can go to youth group tonight.

it's summer!

Well it's finally summer, schools out and the fun has begun. On Sunday I will be heading downtown for a week for a mission trip with my youth group. We are running a VBS for the kids of Living Hope Ministries and the kids in and around the neighborhood. I'm really excited to leave. We are basically running the whole stinkin' thing! We planned everything, we are the teachers, we do the craft, we give out fliers, we set up, we do everything!

I went to the orthodontist yesterday and Dr. Reese suggested that I do a program called SureSmile. It's a robot that basically bends the wire speciffically to my needs and speeds up the whole process, in most cases 40%!!! I can't really explain it so I'll just give you a link....actually I'm jsut to lazy to explain it so I'll give you a link! You can even see a video of the robot bending the wire!

This summer we will be going to family camp, God willing my dad keeps his job (which is sorta in question at this point) But that's not something I can do anything about so...I digress...
family camp will be fun and then we want to go camping with another family so it's gonna be fun!

When I was in Texas, my grandma turned on the TV before bed and she turned to the Hallmark channel and Love Finds a Home was on, we caught the last ten minutes and then Love Comes Softly came on and I have fallen in love with those movies!!!! Rockin' Robin Nature Show

This year in our cherry blossom tree out back, we got a Robin's nest and figured there were some eggs there even though we couldn't see them. Well, the other day I was sitting on the couch with my laptop, facing the window looking out at the nest. I see a crow perched right above the nest and I think "oh no!" but I don't do anything...it bends down and pulls out a little blue egg!! I hear lots of tweeting and chirping and I see the momma robin swoop down at the crow but he doesn't even flinch. He fly's out of my view and I'm kinda sad for the little bird, but still I don't do anything, I didn't want to go scare the crow and make him drop the egg on the patio!! Icky! I go back to my work and then 2 minutes later I look out the window, and there is the crow again! He go's down and takes another egg! I seriously don't believe whats going on right before my eyes! There was some more chirping and swooping done by the momma bird and then he fly's out of view! He doesn't come back and neither does the mother robin. After dinner my family was watching TV and my mom mentions the nest....so I tell her what happened and she is sad and I said it was like watching a nature show but live. My mom acted like it was a complete felony and that I had killed the birds myself! I mean, it didn't make any difference that I was sitting there and didn't do anything, it would have happened anyway...I guess she wanted me to do something. I felt bad but it's nature. Yesterday I was outside and my dad was doing yard work and on the rocks under our ferns was a little cracked blue shell.... :(

I just wanted to share this with you...it was just something that happened during my week that I felt like sharing!

Flying By...

I haven't written in a while, sorry about that!
If your wondering why I keep changing my blog address and title, I'm just not happy with what I had before so I change it and probably will keep changing it until I find the perfect one.

SCHOOLS ALMOST OVER!!!!!! The misery will end on June 3rd! I have to say though that this school year has flown by! I can't wait for summer to be here, camping,(we missed out on that last summer do to a horrible *hail storm) friends, bike rides, sleepovers, I just CAN'T wait :)

*about that hail storm, it ruined the top of our camper and it took way longer than it should have to get replaced.

Volleyball season was great, I had and awesome team and we didn't win all that much but we had fun. At our last tourney we won just 1 match but we had gotten farther in the tournament play than at any other tournament. It was the best! All the screaming and jumping and excitement! it just pumped us up but we lost the next match...oh well!

Hey guys, I'm off to Texas!! You know that trip I was talking about and couldn't tell you where I was going, well it was a surprise for my grandparents and my aunt spilled it to them on accident so it's no long a secret! I'm happy because now I got to tell you. Well I am packing my shorts and other sunny warm weather clothes! Me and my mom are leaving tomorrow morning...very early let me tell ya! See ya!

GOOD FRIDAY REFLECTIONS

As I reflect about good Friday and how Jesus died on the cross, one thing really sticks in my mind. Our pastor said: Jesus died on the cross because crucifiction is the only death horrible enough for the wrath of God.......not his exact words but pretty close. I read a medical account of the crucifiction and it was really sad to see what he went through! I didn't cry but it made me think even more about what it means. God did that to his Son and it had to be horrible and inhumane because sin is just as horrible and evil. I sometimes wonder if Jesus felt ALL of the sin literally on his shoulders and that is A LOT of sin...every sin before, then, now and to come. I wonder about some hard un-answerable questions. But I don't have to question that Jesus DID rise again on the third day and that's why we celebrate Easter!

changes and updates

Hi to everyone who actually reads my blog, well sometimes I feel like I'm talking to myself or the wind when I blog. Which is almost never. Well anyway I made a few changes to my blog. The layout, the name and my address. It's now: www.justmeinthemoment.blogspot.com and I changed it mostly because I don't like the band that I based the last one off it off and I thought it was dumb...so...I changed it!

Now for updates, I am going to be home schooled next year for eight grade and. I'm going on a trip but I don't know if I'm allowed to tell you where yet, I think it's a surprise for someone. All I'll tell you is that it's out of state. Can't wait for that!!! I play volleyball for Crossfire. My team is trying to come up with a more creative name than Crossfire 14 blue that they give us to tell all the teams apart. The majority or our team likes Blue Lightning and Sam was being funny by saying that we should be the Blue Bull Dogs and have a blue bull dog named Killer...I cracked up when she said that, so did everyone esle but rejected the idea anyway. I rolled my ankle at vb practice on Monday and it hurts and I have vb practice tonight..oh great! I also got this MAJOR bruise/bump on my arm from Maddie swinging her arm down and mine up and they smaked together and it swelled up really big and is now black and purple and a greenish color. Ouch. Other than those things my life is pretty boring.

I got a haircut!!

I finally got a haircut!!! I got bangs and layers. Nothing special but a change none the less, pictures coming soon!

Haircut?? School?? Girl Scout Cookies :)

Help!!! I want to get a haircut but have no idea how to get it cut....my mom want me to do the same thing just shorter and I...well I really don't know!! I found one that I like but the bangs will be in my face all the time and I won't be able to put it in a ponytail.....I don't know what to do!! I need something that won't fall in my face when it's down and that can be in a ponytail. Other that this predicament I also have NO idea what I should do next year for school...my mom wants me to go back to the Spanish program or go to Beacon (I have NO idea is this is how you spell it) and I want to be home but not online school, so I still don't know what I want to do. I like being home so I can work and sleep in and have free time but I want to see friends more often. It's is sooo hard to decide, my friend Emily is having the same problem! So at least I'm not alone.....speaking of Emily I have to go deliver their Girl Scout cookies!!!

What I've done in the last day!

Well for starters I'm tired and that is because I stayed up too late watching Oliver Twist on TV and then watching the Oscar's....stupid I know! I got back from volleyball tryouts at 7:30 and then stayed up till 11 and then this morning I had to get up early and got to the orthodontist...my favorite place in the whole wide world *wink wink* and got the rest of my braces on and then they gave me rubber bands!!! woo hoo...rejoice!!...NOT! It might sound like I'm complaining but I'm not really...I'm just writing an extremely long status because I can't fit it all in a couple of sentences...what can I say I'm a girl and we like to talk! OH yes and tonight I have to work food service. I'm very busy lately!
